THE EARLY 1930S

In rural Italy of the 1930s, Amelia Ramonda traveled daily through the countryside of the upper Vicenza area, on foot or by bicycle, bartering fabrics, buttons and goods essential to domestic life to take care of her family.
A generous, tenacious woman with a genuine practical sensibility, she managed to transform - in the early 1950s - a simple street vendor into a reference emporium for families in the area.
With the participation in the business of her children Maria, Ginetta and Giuseppe, the decisive turning point. An uncommon spirit of initiative and entrepreneurial intuition laid the foundations of a history of expansion and success, destined to develop to the present day.
In 1954, the decisive decision was made to acquire a remnants and textiles store in the nearby town of Alte, then almost deserted but with all the prerequisites to become shortly thereafter, thanks to the economic boom, a nerve center of manufacturing and commercial settlements.
Within a few years, the store's assortment expanded, enriched and diversified, while the customer base widened: several others were added to the first store, dilating spaces, configurations and choices.
The intuition of modulating the variety of the range offered on the needs of people, enclosing within a single space selections that are very different from each other but linked by the trait d'union of making quality accessible to all, gives rise to a retail format that did not exist until then.
An invention that expresses the common thread that has inspired Ramonda's success throughout its evolution: genuine dedication to the customer, who upon entering the store would be certain to find what he or she was looking for.

THE 1970S

IN 2008

ECOMMERCE

In 2010, the constant search for innovation as a key factor in value creation marked another milestone: Sorelle Ramonda launched its first E-Commerce, positioning itself among the first players in the fashion retail sector to glimpse the great potential of digital commerce.
Eleven years later, the Digital Star 2021 award received by the German Institute of Quality in partnership with Repubblica Affari & Finanza ranks Sorelle Ramonda among the 300 most innovative Italian companies in Digital Transformation.
The strategic development path toward an increasingly fluid and engaging omnichannel shopping experience finds another important landing point in the inauguration of Sorelle Ramonda's new evolved e-commerce, designed to enable experiences that cut across the in-store and multiplatform dimensions, giving rise to unprecedented ecosystems of relationship and interaction with our customers.
